2012 Fall Fashion Trends

As they say, the devil is in the details, and during Fall Fashion Week 2012 runways illustrated that point beyond a shadow of a doubt. Accessories from handbags to boots to jewelry had a moody elegance with tons of strong detail for fall fashion trends. Big bags, edgy jewelry and deep hues — all topped off with silver, the right-now metal of choice — lend a dark romance to this season’s offerings. Here are some of our favorite selections to come in from the cold with this fall. Feather Necklace

In jewelry, Fall 2012 accessory trends toward the exotic, with historical and rock influences making statement necklaces go even bigger than before.  Feathers are a trend that began in 2011 and has really continued in a big way for 2012. Mixed metals, fringe and leather add up to a blitz of style with this TBA necklace,  a custom-looking piece guaranteed to shake up any formal ensemble.

Pendant necklaces are back in a major way, in over-the-top exaggerations that are fun, funky and in your face. This Lanvin piece, above, is a gorgeous look. Get close with our TBA look, for thousands less.

What can we say about the Maxi Necklace except it is here; it’s big and from the looks of things it’s going to be around for a while. From choker lengths to necklaces that cover the entire neck and chest the Maxi Necklace trend that began in 2011 will be sure to take us through a few more seasons to come.

Red is a having a huge style moment this fall, from tartan plaids to deep n Hand Bags, rburgundies, and on everything from purses to overcoats. You can’t go wrong with our red handbag with a bow, which hits all of the season’s style points squarely on the head: the crimson color is just right, as is its ladylike structure, top handle and fine leather form.

RedBowHandbag

It recalls the tailored, color-saturated looks at Marni and other design houses this fall.

Speaking of structure, bigger is definitely better for Fall 2012, so we recommend snapping up luxury sized, shapely looks like the one below. You’ll get your mileage out of it!The last big trend of Fall 2012 is what many are calling the “Remixed” look, a combination of textures and color blocking on boots, apparel and handbags.

Balenciaga, Dries Van Noten and Fendi all sent mixed-up fabrications down the runways, brave new uses of colored leather and pony hair. If the Balenciaga heel is out of range,

you can still add a dash of remixing to your own Fall wardrobe with TBA’s Suede and Rhombohedrons patterned tote,or our Croc Embossed Handbag mixed with a Diamond Lattice Pattern.

All in all, Fall 2012 is shaping up to be one of the most interesting seasons for fashion we’ve seen in a long time. Let us know how you plan to play by—or break!—the rules of fashion this season.
